As a Certified Wound Specialist and PhD prepared nurse educator, Mitchell Nurse Consulting provides evidenced-based practice content, supported by Clinical Practice Guidelines specific to the evaluation and management of acute and chronic wounds.  Our target audience includes Advanced Practice Providers, Physicians, Nurses, CNAs, Long-Term Care Staff and Leadership, Home Health Agencies, Insurance Agencies, and Medical Malpractice Attorneys.  Educational programs are specifically designed to address the epidemiology, pathophysiology, etiology, risk factors, assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic wounds.  Additional programs cover Basic Wound Care Assessment: wound measurement, wound documentation, wound care dressings, Advanced  Wound Care Assessment: Clinical Concepts of Wound Healing, Outpatient Management of Burn Wounds, Diabetic Foot Ulcers, Venous Leg Ulcers, Pressure Injuries, and Atypical Ulcers.  Supplementary content includes compression therapy and negative pressure wound therapy.

With over 35 years of nursing experience, 27 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and 20 years as a wound care provider, Mitchell Nurse Consulting, LLC has the experience, education, and expertise to analyze and evaluate the facts in medical malpractice cases involving burn injuries and chronic wounds in acute care settings, post-acute care, skilled nursing facilities and long-term care.  Without bias, an Advanced Practice Nurse Provider and PhD Educator will thoroughly review the nature of a client’s case, identify breaches in standards of care based on evidenced-based guidelines and ultimately disclose the merits of the case. As a healthcare provider, and educational/content expert, Mitchell Nurse Consulting will strengthen your legal team’s medical knowledge and strategy.
